THE DIY ROUTE
At Home
This is convenient, but prepare yourself with extra ink cartridges. Purchase a cardstock weight paper and test it first to ensure your machine accepts the thickness.
At an Office Supply Store
Similar to printing at home, without the concern about ink. You’ll want to take your own paper and have them test it first to ensure their machine will accept the thickness. You’ll also want to ensure the color prints the way you like it.

ENVELOPES
Colored envelopes can make a large impact in the aesthetic of your invitation suite. Sometimes we print directly on the envelope and other times it makes more sense to create a custom label. Ask me about options.
TRIMMING
If you’re trimming your invitation yourself, I highly recommend using an Xacto knife, a metal ruler, and a cutting mat. While a paper cutter seems like the logical option, you’ll end up cutting off some of your trim marks and you’ll be left to guess where to make your final cuts. Using the ruler as a straight-edge guide, use your Xacto knife to cut from on trim mark to another as opposed to cutting all the way to the edge of the page. I like to cut from the middle of the page, outward.
